Data center interview horrors and spooks

Experience is great, and data center certifications can only help your résumé -- right? Not in the case of Casper, who applied to run our new hybrid cloud environment with a certification in VMware Infrastructure 3. His sample work was correct, to be sure, but looked frozen in time, from another era before the days of orchestration, cloud bursting and service-level agreements. And despite the fully contained cooling system in place, he always brought a blast of cold air into our data centers. We hope he found an old data center to haunt!
