Seven data center infrastructure tips to help you go green
Just employing water cooling on the server room floor does not necessarily make one's data center green. So the MGHPCC installed green-certified Trane water chillers to start the water cooling process. This particular chiller has received green certifications and minimizes harmful emissions.
The MGHPCC, however, didn't think that was good enough, so they're aiming to use free cooling 70% of the time. This will cut down on costs at least three seasons of the year for running the water chiller, and using less power will save money in the long run.
