Asset Control ports server to Red Hat
Asset Control announced that it has ported the AC Server 5.1 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server with Oracle 9i relational database management. Asset Control services the financial industry, providing investment data integration software. Asset Control can choose Linux-based architectures for their data management platforms. It also supports Solaris.
Sanchez CA deploys processing system on Linux
Financial software and services provider Sanchez Computer Associates announced the first deployment of a core processing system for a banking institution on Linux. First Mortgage KFT of Hungary is using the Sanchez Profile core processing system, the Profile for Windows customer servicing platform, and the Sanchez FMS accounting system to aid its drive into the Hungarian home mortgage market.
OSA's new management software supports Linux
OSA Technologies Inc. announced last week that its latest Server Manager software now supports Linux. OSA enables Linux users to do remote management, monitoring, diagnostics and recovery during different phases of a system lifecycle: pre-boot, OS-present, and OS-unresponsive. Linux support will be generally available in July 2003. Pricing varies by implementation. OSA sells intelligent platform management interface software and firmware for the global server, blade, telecommunications, networking, and storage markets.
Polywell cluster runs on Opteron, SuSE
Polywell Computers Inc. recently detailed its new PolyCluster 2200A cluster server and PolyRaxx 2200B cluster node systems that run on SuSE Linux and the 64-bit AMD Opteron processor. Poly Cluster 2200A is a turnkey cluster system integrated with 64-bit SuSE Linux, Emic Application Cluster for MySQL and Web Server up to 16 cluster nodes in 1U 2-way rack. Poly Cluster 2200A supports load balancing and fail-over by utilizing dual Gigabit Ethernets. PolyRaxx 2200B is a 64-bit cluster node that operates on both 64-bit and 32-bit platforms. Beowulf turnkey platform and rendering farm nodes are available with custom configurations.
