I am planning to use a TSQ in one of my projects. The CICS screen is used for browsing the records. So my question is, is there any size limitation for using a TSQ? If I'm using a bulk amount of data will it create any problem?
If you are using a VAST quantity of data, you may have problems but not for normal usage. If you are going to use a non-MAIN TSQ, then the quantity of data will be restricted to the size of the DFHTEMP file. You will also be limited to a 32k LRECL.
Don't forget that a TSQ is a CICS-recoverable resource so if you are doing lots of updates then you might run into performance problems if the UnitOfWork gets very large but I don't really think you will have any problems.
