Do I have to recompile or re-link a CICS TS V1.3 COBOL program to migration to z/OS V1.2 with CICS TS V1.3 or V2.2...
from OS/390 V2.9? There is no requirement for a VS COBOL II or Enterprise Cobol program to be recomplied or relinked when moving from CTS 1.3 to CTS 2.2.
However, if the VS COBOL II module is not using language environment and the CTS 2.2 region has got the language environment runtime active, then there may be runtime behavior changes.
Have a look on the CICS Web site in the library section for CTS 2.2 where there is a paper talking about LE migration considerations.
