We want to use the internal reader to submit JCL from CICS. The problem is, what command can I use to find out if the CICS system is MVS? We have clients that are VSE and would like to send a message back to the users that this is not possible in their system.
I do not know anything about CICS/VSE but if you do an XC INQUIRE SYSTEM OPSYS(.) and get back 'X' you are running in MVS.
