CICS processing working with a Web server

I developed a system that has a VSAM file system. I would like to setup a process that will allow CICS reads and writes from a Web server. Is CICS Transaction Server the right tool for the job? Mind you, I need to also have almost 1000 users on the system processing normal online transactions during the day.
I don't really understand this question. However, CICS processing for "clientish" requests coming in via TCP/IP (probably using the Transaction Gateway) from a Web server should not impact your current applications. You will need to write a little CICS application program that does the VSAM file access and apt processing within CICS.
