Back in April 2002, a question was submitted about running CICS 4.1 under z/OS 1.3. Your answer was that you did not see any problems. Are you aware of any issues about running CICS 4.1 under Z/OS 1.4?
I know that we have not done any formal testing with CICS 4.1 under z/OS 1.4 -- as CICS 4.1 is now out of service. However, as z/OS 1.4 is very much the base level for z/OS in an OS/390 compatibility-sort-of-way, I don't think that there should be any grave problems. The next release of z/OS after 1.4 I would be less confident about.
Anyway, as CICS 4.1 is out of service you MUST be aware that if any problems occur you will be on your own. My advice, think hard about accepting the risk!
