Active Power's PowerHouse is a backup power product in a shipping container. It includes a backup generator, transfer switches, and a flywheel-based uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The company demonstrated its product at the HP Technology Forum in Las Vegas this week. PowerHouse can work in conjunction with HP's containerized data center, called the POD.
