Fujitsu PRIMERGY BX900 Blade Server System

Fujitsu touts its PRIMERGY BX900 Blade Server System as a data center in a box. The system fits up to 18 Intel 5500-series server blades, eight connection blades, six power supply units and two management boards in a 10U chassis. The chassis has a high-speed midplane with four redundant fabrics for bit, 10 Gb, and Fibre Channel connections. Fujitsu engineers the servers for energy efficiency, and its Cool-Safe methodology includes tactics for improving power supply, server fan and processor efficiency. A big part of our judges' scoring for Products of the Year comes down to price -- this year especially, value was a large part of the criteria and the Fujitsu PRIMERGY BX900 Blade Server System scored highly.
