SearchDataCenter.com Presents: 2008 Data Center Manager of the Year
SearchDataCenter.com is taking nominations for the 2008 Data Center Manager of the Year. This award recognizes excellence in data center project management. The “Data Center Manager of the Year” is an IT/Facilities executive that has overseen a major data center project, completed in the 2007 calendar year.
Nominations can be submitted by colleagues and vendors and should be submitted to Matt Stansberry - Site Editor of SearchDataCenter.com.
Projects can be consolidations, platform migrations, data center moves/renovations, certification projects, and new construction.
Nominations will be judged on five criteria:
- Innovation
- Increased uptime or security
- Lowered operating expenses, capital expenses
- Increased performance
- Environmental awareness
Winners will be selected in three divisions: New Construction, Renovation/Migration and Green Initiative. The Data Center Manager of the Year award will go to the overall winner.
Please include:
- Name, title and company of the nominee
- Type of project
- Timeline for project
- Outstanding examples of innovation, uptime/security, lowered expenses, increased performance and/or environmental awareness
- Supporting engineering firms, vendors
- Nominations are due by February 15th 2008.
- DCMY will be judged by a panel SearchDataCenter.com experts.
Winners will be announced in April and may be profiled in case study articles as well as potential on-site visits from SearchDataCenter.com reporting staff. Data center manager of the year will receive $1500 cash prize, runners up will receive $500 cash prizes!
