Aperture Vista Capacity Management
Coming in second is Aperture Vista's Capacity Management software. What impressed us most is its capacity for vendor neutrality. The company has often talked of the enormous database it has of different vendors' power, space and configuration data, and its Capacity Management software takes that to the next level, able to forecast when users will run out of resources.
Vista is a management system that provides a structured process for managing the overall physical environment of the data center. It does so by assisting the IT organization with the full documentation of the data center's physical infrastructure configuration through a visual repository. Vista integrates the repository with an automated process change management system through a central Web portal. Good stuff.
