Large servers (multi-processor systems)

BRONZE AWARD: PSI System64
The PSI System64 nabs a spot in our top three multi-processor computer systems of 2007. This box is capable of running all manner of operating systems, from z/OS all the way down to Windows and Linux, with a smattering of HP-UX in between. You heard us -- x86, Unix and mainframe operating systems all in one box. Not even IBM does that.
The Intel Itanium-based System64 can scale from 26 to 2,000 MIPS and is clearly aimed at the smaller end of the IBM mainframe customer base. In fact, the Web server-based system management console comes with IBM mainframe-comparable features. PSI claims that System64 can tout virtualization of I/O beyond what is available on mainframe servers today and the same reliability you migrated to the mainframe for.
