Liquid Cooling Package (LCP)
Taking the bronze is Rittal's Liquid Cooling Package (LCP). The company delves into liquid cooling with a cabinet that can cool a six blade server chassis and do it safely. Liquid can be thousands of times more powerful than air in removing heat, and Rittal likens its LCP to an automobile radiator, cooling IT equipment in a rack with liquid-cooled forced air.
LCP is rated for up to 30 kW per rack. It is fitted as an environmentally controlled chamber on the side panel of a server rack. A major advantage is the even distribution of chilled air due to horizontal delivery directly in front of the rows of servers. The LCP has its own regulation system that can be integrated into a monitoring network via Computer Multi Control Top Concept (CMC-TC).
