Emerson Network Power's Liebert NX UPS with Softscale earned took silver this year. Its main benefit is the ability to scale power capacity without having to buy new modules. It comes in two versions: one can scale from 40 kVA to 60 kVA and then 80 kVA, while the second starts at 80 kVA and can scale to 100 kVA or 120 kVA. The additional capacity is gained through a software key that users buy from Liebert when they need the power.
