Dell expected to unveil midrange system, storage
Dell will host an executive webcast on March 25 to talk strategy and products that may include new virtualization-ready servers.

According to the invitation, Dell executives will introduce "a new approach to business computing and Dell's next-generation of products and services." There will also be partners and customers at the event.

Though not confirmed by Dell, it has been reported that the company will launch a new midrange server and an EqualLogic iSCSI storage device with more virtualization capabilities and an additional Gigabit Ethernet port.

AMD talks hardware-assisted virtualization
March is "Virtualization Ecosystem Month?" At least according to AMD which must think this is a way to promote its own virtualization technologies.

Throughout the month, AMD and its partners will host webcasts to tout their products. On March 25, AMD will host a webcast with partners Oracle, Sun Microsystems and VMware from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pacific Time. Topics will include hardware-assisted virtualization and upcoming challenges. The webcastwill also include a Q&A session and the audience can ask questions via live chat.
