APC integrates with HP Operations Manager
APC’s InfraStruxure Central data center infrastructure management software now integrates with HP Operations Manager so that IT managers can detect and monitor real-time changes in data center power and cooling from the popular HP Operations Manager console. InfraStruxure Central exports its device hierarchy and device status -- as well as alarm notifications and historical data -- into Operations Manager using a “smart” plug-in, which is currently available. APC is formally known as APC by Schneider Electric.

Power Assure collects data from Starline meters
Power Assure’s EM/4 energy management software can now collect data from the Starline Critical Power Monitors (CPM), including Starline’s  Busway and Raceway power distribution systems.Using SNMP and ModBus, EM/4 collects energy-use data and helps data center operators optimize energy efficiency, maintain service levels, maximize use of available space and power, and shift load within and across sites. EM/4’s Starline integration is available now.

Siemon adds scaled-down data center cabinet
Siemon now offers a smaller version of its VersaPOD data center cabinet that does not include the company’s Zero-U vertical patching and cable management. That design is  better suited to server deployments than the larger 760 mm-wide VersaPOD models, which accommodate network switches and storage arrays, the company
