Customers can either colocate their data centers at the new facility or use the Dynamic Data Center Suite model, which offers customizable units that can maintain separate shipping and receiving docks, entrance doors, branded lobbies and personnel. Customers can also choose their own space size, infrastructure and operational options, like raised floors, chilled water or air-side cooling, container-based compute or racks, and the level of power density and energy efficiency they want.

The 250,000 square foot data center, located near the Northlake Data Center housing Microsoft, should be completed at the end of 2009.

HarrisData taps SunGard for hosting services
HarrisData now uses SunGard Availability Services for managed hosting of its enterprise software applications for HarrisData customers, the companies reported Monday.

Brookfield, Wis.-based HarrisData will use SunGard AdvancedHosting and managed services, as well as networking, data and application security and storage services.
