Weird data center locations: Sun's cave dwelling

#2: Sun's cave dwelling

An interpretation of Sun's cave data center

Sun Microsystems is nearly finished with a data center located in an abandoned coal mine in the Chubu region of Japan's Honshu island. Sun Blackbox systems are to be lowered into the ground to take advantage of the constant, cool 59-degree-Fahrenheit temperatures within. No air conditioning will be needed because of this, cutting down on energy costs.
