After the Oracle acquisition of Sun Microsystems, Uncle Larry and Co. added insult to injury, hiking Sun hardware support costs, killing OpenSolaris, and having the audacity to claim Sun customers were happy on an earnings call. “Oracle's across-the-board price increases, sudden changes in support policy structure and availability and lack of responsiveness to the current Sun user base will do nothing but hurt what's left of the company they just bought,” said one Sun partisan.
