HP and Dell lead the virtualized hardware market |

The top two vendors for virtualization-ready servers
are HP and Dell – companies that have a core focus on the commodity server market. IBM trails a
distant third, with the other vendors in single digits. Large rack servers (8 to 14 cores) are the
platform of choice for server virtualization; nearly 30% of respondents said they will standardize
virtual machine deployment on this form factor.
