Open Vault specifications follow the Open
Compute Project's recommendations for simple design and ease of installation. Each tray
holds 30 3.5-inch HDDs, two serial-attached SCSI (SAS) expander boards
and a fan control board. The enclosure contains six fans; each individual tray can be pulled out
