We have multiple CICS subsystems runnning on OS/390 2.9. Can we exclude a CICS test subsystem from CICS transation response time goal classification without removing all of our CICS subsystems? If yes, how can we do this?
The short answer is Yes : you can use MVS Workload Manager facilities to define goals for individual CICS regions (based on the APPLID of the region, which maps to the SI entry) as long as you setup the required Classification rules via ISPF.
The CICS Performance Guide has some info on this, as does all the z/OS documentation for the Workload Manager.
