Q

Running CICS TS V1.3 and V2.2 on same machine

Can I run (on the same machine) CICS transaction server V1.3 and V2.2?
Yes, this is absolutely allowed : we do it all the time here in CICS Development. However, there is one thing to be aware of which you might miss: you have to have the (two) SVCs supplied for CICS TS 2.2 in the MVS image. That means you can run with a set of SVCs for CTS 1.3 and ANOTHER set for CTS 2.2 (making 4, all of which will have different numbers). Alternatively, just use the two SVCs supplied with CTS 2.2 and change your CTS 1.3 definitions to use them. The 2.2 SVCs are compatable with 1.3 operation.

I'd recommend just using the CTS 2.2 SVCs (so using them in your 1.3 region).
