Is there a transaction that you can use to start a batch program from a
CICS program?
CICS does not supply a transaction to submit a batch Job. You could, relatively easily, write your own transaction that uses the CICS SPOOL commands to submit a batch Job. I suggest you read the chaper entitled "CICS Interface to JES" in the CICS Application Programming Guide (SG34-5993).
