Q

How well does EXCI work in OS/390

I was wondering if there is sample code to download that uses DFHXCIS to communicate between batch OS/390 COBOL programs and CICS-COBOL applications I can't find supplied copybooks and/or sample code here at the shop. We want to see if/how well EXCI works in OS/390.
A brief examination of the External Interfaces Guide shows that a sample COBOL batch program for EXCI is DFH0CXCC. I'd use the call-level functions rather than the XC LINK as the former gives you more control on an error.
