Can you tell me how I can allocate a sequencial file or PDS member within CICS and open, read or update it?

Extrapartition Transient data provides a way to communicate between CICS and non-CICS programs via a sequential dataset. The CICS Application Programmers Reference Guide describes the function available and the CICS Resource Definition Manual, in the section on extrapartition transient data queues, documents the attributes that must be specified and how they relate to the file which can be a member of a PDS, amongst other things.
