Is it possible to have a CICS transaction initiate a TCP/IP connection using an EXEC CICS command? We are running CICS trans. server for OS/390 V1R3 and would be connecting to a PC-based server. We currently have this working using calls to EZASOKET but would like to use EXEC CICS commands if they exist.

I'm afraid that the only way of getting out of CICS via TCP/IP is via the MVS sockets interface that you are already using. This type of issue is best progressed by getting your IBM person to raise a requirement against CICS.
